Hello it's Happy Hump Day! And my new backing cards arrived! It's super duper simple and versatile. Just a simple pink grid on the front and a thank you on the back. I'm trying to do away with business cards and have all my info on the back of these instead. Less paper and less waste. Throughout the years I've always tried to figure out new packaging. And the biggest question: how I can I be more green/sustainable. I also hate the 1000s of plastic cellophane bags. I know that there are still some things that I have to use plastic baggies but baby steps.
I made a poll awhile back on my IG story about your thoughts on backing cards. Do you really keep them? Do you really like the different styles? Are the plastic baggies a must? Overall many people did enjoy the individual and creative backing cards but almost everyone said they would rather try to go a little more green. Therefore I ended up with these three different size backing cards. For each order I will try to put as many pins as I can on one card. Therefore they are not scratching one another and will still have structure. If you order one pin itll go on the 3x3 card. If you order 2 or 3 i'll use the 6x4 and if you order more Ill use the 7x5. These then will be going into a glassine bag instead of my usual paper baggies. Glassine bags are environmentally friendly & recyclable. You can throw them away with ease.
Packaging is an everchanging process for me. I hope you guys don't mind that it's never the same. But I'm definately trying my best to make them better each time. As always ideas and suggestions are always welcome. I just finished rounding a quarter of the cards. I have yet to buy the huge corner cutter but I'm individually cutting these with my hand dandy corner rounder I got from Hobby Lobby. You can also get it on Amazon for your craft needs. The big big one that made it's fame on Tiktok is something I'm saving up to get. It looks kinda of scary though, like a guillotine. But hands be hurting from all those single cuts. Getting cards rounded actually cost so much more so this will do for now. Well I'm super duper excited to use these. Hope you look forward to it too. Love yall! - Shillbe
